Duties

  • The Consulting Arborist spends their time meeting with potential clients. They prepare tree inventories, arborist reports, memos and other written documentations. They will be trained on the company’s software, and given feedback throughout the season to improve their accuracy.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Over 3 years experience as an Arborist with a comprehensive understanding of local trees, modern rigging techniques, tree structures and diseases;
  • Oral Bilingualism (French and English) Required;
  • Fluent in written French Required;
  • Willingness to work in the outdoors;
  • Independently motivated, highly organized and effective communicator;
  • Reliable, punctual and positive team player;
  • Capacity to work independently;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Willingness and ability to absorb a large amount of information during the training process.

Season

  • Monday to Friday, February or March to December
  • Statutory holidays, potential summer breaks assessed on a case-by-case basis

Salary and Benefits

  • 20 – 40$/hr, based on experience, skills, and targets met;
  • Continuing education in all aspects of arboriculture provided throughout the season by ISA trainers;
  • Benefits, bonuses and stipends.
