Royal Tree Service provides ISA-standard tree care throughout Montréal’s West Island. It is the largest local tree service. Duties

  • Tree health and safety assessment;
  • Pruning, rigging, takedowns and cabling;
  • Tool maintenance;
  • Groundsman duties;
  • Customer service;
  • Use of various machines and driving trucks.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Arboriculture graduate;
  • Willingness to work 8-hour days in difficult weather conditions;
  • Reliable and positive team player;
  • Valid driver’s license and mobile phone;
  • Bilingualism an asset, but not required (English and French);
  • ISA certification an asset;
  • Class 3 license an asset;
  • Five years experience as a climbing arborist (Advanced Climber position only);
  • Leadership experience (Advanced Climber position only).

Season

  • Monday to Friday, March or April to December;
  • Statutory holidays, potential summer breaks on an individual basis.

 

Salary and Benefits

  • Junior Climber: 20 – 30$/hr;
  • Advanced Climber: 28 – 45$/hr, based on experience, skills and responsibilities;
  • Continuing education in all aspects of arboriculture provided throughout the season by ISA Trainers;
  • Benefits, bonuses and stipends.
